ETN Global Webinar: “Flexible Energy Integration: Lessons from EU-Funded Projects”

ETN Global’s Energy Integration Working Group is launching a new webinar, which will take place on Monday, 28 September 2026, 13:00 – 14:00 CET.

It will feature two presentations followed by a Q&A session and open discussion.

This session will explore innovative approaches to flexible and integrated energy systems, with insights from two Horizon Europe projects addressing the integration of renewable energy, storage, and efficient power generation.

Speakers and topics:
  • ASTERIx-CAESar – Current status and results
Dr Fritz Zaversky (CENER) will present a novel hybrid CSP–CAES concept combining solar thermal power generation with compressed air energy storage. The project aims to enable flexible power plants capable of both efficient energy storage and flexible dispatch, supporting grid stability in high-renewables systems.
  • Fit4Micro – Microturbine-Based CHP for Sustainable Buildings
Dr Angelos Gaitanis (UMONS) will introduce a highly efficient micro combined heat, cooling, and power system based on microturbine technology and sustainable biofuels, designed to improve energy efficiency in buildings.
